Making a Mess of Things

The plaintiff says the defendant brought her mother for a visit and she had an accident on her brand-new couch. She’s tried to have it cleaned, but it’s ruined. She’s suing for the cost of a new sofa. The defendant says she had the furniture professionally cleaned and checked with a black light, and it was fine. Now she wants a new loveseat, so that’s why she’s suing. Case #24-174
