Activating Crystal Palace Park for POTA Parks on The Air
Hey all, I've attempted and managed to successfully activate Crystal Palace Park in South-East London for a first time for the POTA (Parks On the Air). This was my first activation and actually got me interested to this activity. As some say it is a field day every day with POTA. It was challenging as the propagation on the 20m band was not great. Only made 2 QSOs on 2m VHF and ended up using a long wire antenna to complete the activation. I used the Yaesu FT-991A all band, all mode transceiver. Find more info about POTA here www.parksontheair.com Thanks for watching! Ivo, M0IKO
