Zeeland - Middelburg, Westkapelle und Weltevreden

From our overnight spot, "Mini-Camping Oranjepolder" (51.5119, 3.6870), we continued on to Middelburg. After a stormy night – Zeeland is quite flat, after all – the sun shone down on us during our visit to Middelburg. Middelburg is a municipality and also the capital of the Dutch province of Zeeland. The city center of Middelburg is now a protected historic district and boasts more than 1,100 listed buildings! Definitely worth seeing, in our opinion – a visit is highly recommended! At the Westkapelle beach, we first enjoyed a coffee and a Middelburg cinnamon roll before continuing on to our overnight spot, "Camping Weltevreden" (51.5088, 3.4672). Here, we were sheltered behind a large dune, protected from the strong winds. The view from the dune and the sunset – simply breathtaking!
