RAS RUVUMA AIPONGEZA HALMASHAURI YA WILAYA YA TUNDURU KWA KUPATA HATI SAFI

Tunduru District Council today, July 2, 2026, held a Special Meeting of the Councillors to review the Report of the Controller and Auditor General (CAG) along with audit questions for the financial year 2024/2025. The meeting was held at the Skyway Hall, Tunduru. Speaking at the meeting, the Ruvuma Regional Administrative Secretary, Mrs. Mary Makondo, congratulated Tunduru District Council for continuing to obtain Clean Audit Certificates, explaining that these achievements are due to the good cooperation between the Honorable Councillors, Management and council staff. Mrs. Makondo emphasized that in the new financial year 2026/2027, the council should continue to adhere to the laws, regulations and procedures for public financial management in order to avoid the emergence of new audit questions. She added that accountability and proper use of public resources are an important basis for accelerating the development of Tunduru District and Ruvuma Region as a whole.
