Thousands of Hong Kong residents queued Saturday to tour China's first domestically built aircraft carrier, the Shandong, during its historic five-day visit. The 70,000-tonne warship, accompanied by destroyers Zhanjiang and Yuncheng, offered 10,000 free tickets that sold out within minutes. Visitors explored the massive flight deck featuring 14 aircraft including J-15 fighters, while crew members demonstrated the carrier's color-coded "deck rainbow" operation system to students.
