Today I’m taking you on a whirlwind tour of all five to see what they actually look like in real life. We’ll start in Sanlitun, where we’ll visit both the old and new versions of China’s very first Apple Store. I’ll talk about Steve Jobs’ obsession with Apple Store design, and why the new Sanlitun store honestly feels a bit underwhelming to me. Then we’ll head over to Xidan Joy City, which used to be the place for Apple fans to buy their first iPhone. For me, it’s also full of teenage memories – including the time I literally “paid” my classmate with my homework notebook just to borrow his iPhone to play games. After that, I’ll show you my favorite one: the Wangfujing apm store, home to one of the only three-story spiral glass staircases you’ll find in all of Asia. We’ll also stop by the China Central Place store with its super long glass wall, and the hidden-away Apple Store inside Chaoyang Joy City.
