In this video we have a look at Illy's own brand of coffee machine the Francis Francis! This particular model is the second generation of the X1 which increased portafilter diameter to 57mm and upgraded boiler from aluminium to brass. Illy commissioned renowned Italian designer Luca Trazzi to design the machine. I also examine the difference between Easy Serving Espresso (E.S.E.) pod filter handle and the ground coffee portafilter handle. While not very well known in Australia, this is a great little machine that certainly makes a statement in any kitchen, particularly in the Ferrari red colour.
