Ducati 899 Panigale Track Day GoPro - Getting to Know Bahrain International Circuit

Bike: Ducati 899 Panigale Location: Bahrain International Circuit (Formula 1 layout) Event: Ducati Riding Experience Track Day Camera: GoPro Hero 3+ Black Edition Software: Windows Movie Maker Mid-March 2017 I had the incredible opportunity to take part in a track day at Bahrain International Circuit. We only had one day, hence the slow pace, but it was a lot of fun and very memorable: We enjoyed the tuition of some fabulous instructors, ranging from 125cc & 250cc Grand Prix world champion Manuel Poggiali to Dandi Morigi, who I was lucky to have as my personal instructor. That combined with the extremely likeable DRE team and racing under floodlights at a famous Formula 1 track was just awesome. The track is not hard to learn but seems to be made for cars rather than bikes with multiple straights and some very tight corners. Doesn't mean it's not fun on a bike though :-P Riding a Ducati 899 Panigale on track for the first time was very cool. The sound of the bike is just awesome, even though I had some trouble with wind noise while recording. We had the standard footpegs switched for performance units due to their grip and some slicks mounted; other than that the bikes were original and - afaik - provided by Ducati Bahrain & Wheels of Arabia who also supply the Bahrain Superbike Championship.
