Batalla de Emporion 195 AC - La revuelta íbera contra Roma

Following the Roman victory over Carthage in the Second Punic War, Hispania came under Roman control, leading to tensions due to the imposition of taxes and administrative changes. The most important battle of this Iberian revolt was the Battle of Emporion, led by the consul Marcus Porcius Cato the Elder, who, with an army of 50,000 men, landed in the Greek city of Emporion and managed to demoralize the Iberian forces through guerrilla tactics. Ultimately, Cato defeated the rebel army, consolidating Roman control over the region and pacifying the coastal strip in a matter of days, extending his dominion inland. — Voice and editing by: Denis Ztoupas (Forgotten Heroes) ✔ VIDEO CHAPTERS 0:00 Context 1:20 The Iberians rebel 2:25 Rome's reaction 3:55 Cato the Elder appears 4:55 Landing at Emporion 6:55 Battle of Emporion 9:55 Consequences 💰 Support this project!
