NACFC 2024 | S02: Paradigm Shift in Cystic Fibrosis Care Model

The experience of people living with cystic fibrosis in the United States has changed over the past several years, influenced by improvements in therapies, approval of CFTR modulators, and the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. With recent improvements in outcomes for people with cystic fibrosis, as well as advancements in therapies and remote technology to support healthcare, it is time to re-evaluate the cystic fibrosis model of care to attend to the various needs of people with cystic fibrosis. This symposium discusses the support for changes in the model of care and cystic fibrosis team, outlines interim guidance for care, and discusses future steps for evaluating potential modifications in cystic fibrosis care in the US.
