This means you can purchase the mower without batteries or charger if you already have them. The Makita DC18RD 196941-7 charger charges two Makita battery packs with a voltage of 14.4 V or 18 V. It also has a USB port for charging smartphones, tablets, etc. It's equipped with charging indicator lights to monitor the charge level, and you can customize the charging melody. There's a fan that gets quite loud when batteries are installed. Also, be careful, as the Makita 195915-5 DC18RC charger is for one battery with one charging port! It's better to buy one with two for future use. Conclusion: I didn't like the grass catcher attachment and that it fills up quickly. The battery doesn't last as long as a gas-powered one. :) The wheels could be bigger. Everything else is excellent! Although I'm personally in favor of a cordless trimmer, a cart like this for a large garden should be gas-powered, as one pair of batteries definitely won't be enough. But for the elderly and infirm, it's definitely better than a gasoline engine. There's no hassle with buying gas, diluting it with oil, cleaning the filter or spark plug deposits, storing canisters, or pulling the starter. Alternatively, you could buy a second pair of batteries, and you'd be able to mow for two hours. Another plus is that you can also buy an angle grinder, circular saw, or chain saw using the same batteries. Our mower configurations and accessories are unavailable anywhere.
