How Many Buses Can I Ride In ONE Day? | Ipswich Edition

How many different buses can I ride in one day – using only Ipswich Buses and First Ipswich services, and never crossing the Ipswich border? For this tight challenge, I’m limiting myself strictly to these two operators only, and will not travel one step beyond Ipswich’s official boundary – no trips out to Kesgrave, Woodbridge, Claydon or anywhere else outside the town limits. I’ll count every unique bus I board, stick 100% to published timetables, and see how much of the local network I can cover before the last service runs. What I’m covering: ✅ Only Ipswich Buses and First Ipswich routes – no other operators at all ✅ Every journey stays fully inside Ipswich’s border – zero exceptions ✅ Town centre links, all suburban estates, hospital, retail park and local feeder routes ✅ Short workings, peak-only variants and lesser-known local runs 📌 STRICT CHALLENGE RULES: 1. Only Ipswich Buses and First Ipswich public bus services count 2. No travel beyond Ipswich’s official boundary at any point 3. Each separate bus counts individually, even if it runs the same route number 4. Must pay standard fare or use valid ticket for every journey 5. No sprinting for missed connections – wait for the next timetabled service only Drop a comment – how many separate buses do you think I can get through with these rules? 🔔 Subscribe for more Suffolk/Essex transport challenges and Mason's Airways content!
