"Realistically, thermoelectric plants burn gas that is now becoming scarce; we cannot continue in the fantasy of maintaining low rates," he pointed out. Zaratti insisted that urgent measures are needed: to move beyond endless analyses and take action. He proposed passing a short law that modifies taxes and democratizes investments in electricity. Furthermore, he highlighted the need to opt for renewable energies, such as hydroelectric power, which have shown price reductions in various parts of the world, unlike energy sources dependent on fossil fuels and oil.
