It was here that Paul began to explore his talents by writing and performing his own monologues. After graduation, Paul moved to New York City with the hopes of becoming big in the entertainment industry. Paul’s big break came with his role in the 1960 Broadway play Bye Bye Birdie, and he achieved even greater recognition with the reprisal of his role in that play’s 1963 Hollywood adaptation. In 1965, Paul was given what has arguably become the most iconic role of his career, with that being the character of Uncle Arthur on the series Bewitched.
