Zierfische(r) am Rio Negro 2 | Rote Neon in der Reuse | Abenteuerreise im Urwald Brasiliens | 4K

For international visitors, I suggest using YouTube's subtle function. It works quite well, at least for English. - The Rio Negro in Brazil's rainforest. The second largest tributary of the Amazon River. An important transportation route and home to many tropical ornamental aquarium fish, such as cardinal tetras, discus, and angelfish. Join us on an exciting trip starting in the capital, Manaus, and traveling up the Rio Negro to Barcelos, the former center for catching and exporting these tropical species. The Rio Negro in Brazil. The second largest tributary in the world. An important transportation route and home to many of our aquarium fish, such as neon tetras, Heckel discus, and angelfish, among others. Join us on an adventurous journey up the Rio Negro. From the metropolis of Manaus, we travel to Barcelos, a former center for catching and exporting ornamental fish from this region. Then we ventured into the headwaters of a tributary (Igarapé do Daracua, Igarapé Adairá), where we made some truly astonishing observations. I've been an aquarist since childhood, and this trip fulfilled a long-held dream: to experience the habitat of red-nosed tetras and other fish in the Amazon rainforest firsthand. And I can tell you, I wasn't disappointed; it was absolutely fascinating. Even though we never intended to take any fish home with us, we were able to find many different species and observe them in a small, specially built photo aquarium (commissioned from a glassmaker in Manaus), photograph them, and then release them back into the breathtaking natural environment. Since this approximately three-week trip was a few years ago now, I only have a few, and not very usable, video recordings. However, we did try to capture everything well with our photographs. The result is a film in the form of a hopefully entertaining three-part photo documentary. At this point, I'd like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Schorsch, my fellow traveler and organizer from Munich. Thank you for an unforgettable experience in the tropical rainforest and, of course, for your photos! It's thanks to his suggestion that this little documentary series could be created. We hope it will make your aquarium-loving hearts beat faster and also generate general interest on my nature channel here on YouTube. Unfortunately, episode 3 is delayed again, but it will definitely come, I just can't say exactly when... But please: stay tuned 📺 Here's part 1 of the expedition:    • Zierfische(r) am Rio Negro 1 | Skalare ang...   #RioNegro #Amazon #OrnamentalFish #Aquaristics #NatureAndMore
