LORD, Carry Me! | Daily Prayer | 7/8/2026

Sovereign Lord, I lift my soul to You like a shipwrecked heart reaching for rescue, knowing that only Your hands can hold me fast when waves break hard against my hope. Though the storm rages and waters rise, I will not be moved, for You are my rock and my deliverer, my ever-present help in times of trouble. I confess that fear has knocked on the door of my soul, uninvited but persistent, trying to drown out faith’s voice with the noise of doubt. But You, O God, still whisper truth above every crashing wave, calling me to come, to rise, to walk where fear says I cannot. Jesus, You stepped out on the sea while the wind howled, and You have not changed, still today You walk on my chaos. Your Word says, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1) Shine into every shadowed thought, Lord, and scatter the darkness that coils around the corners of my mind. When I sink beneath sorrow or feel swallowed by pain, I declare that Your hand is already reaching for me. Your Word is my anchor, unbreakable and sure, fastening me to truth when I am tempted to believe I am alone. You are my hiding place, my refuge in the angry tempest, covering me with peace when every other shelter fails. Even when my faith wavers like Peter on the sea, Your grace upholds me, keeping me from drowning in despair. I receive that grace today, not as someone worthy, but as one who clings to the Cross like a lifeline in the gale. Let my heart be stilled by the same voice that said, “Peace, be still,” and remake my fear into worship. Remind me that I am held, not because of my strength, but because Jesus overcame the storm and the grave itself. In the cold, salty grief of life’s deep waters, be my warmth, my calm, my morning light after a long night. Shape in me a faith that is not built on calm seas but on the certainty of Your presence in the middle of every storm. I do not ask for easy days, but I ask that You never let me go, even when my grip is weakened, let Yours never slip. You said, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” (Isaiah 43:2) So I will not let the waves define me, for Your Word declares I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me. Help me, Father, to walk by faith and not by sight, to believe, even when thunder mocks and clouds deny. Let the Cross be my compass when my bearings fade, and let the hope of resurrection be the wind in my sails. Jesus, breathe courage into every place weariness has dulled my passion and rekindle the flame of first love in my heart. You have not brought me this far to abandon me; You are the God who parts seas and defeats giants. I choose to wait for You, not in resignation, but in holy anticipation that You are doing something glorious beneath the surface. Teach me to praise You not just after the rain, but in the heart of the storm, because You are worthy at all times. I declare that no wave is higher than Your throne, no force more mighty than Your love. Thank You, Lord, for holding onto me even when I barely hold on to You, You are faithful, and Your mercy is my rescue.
