How San Francisco Taggers Acted Hot In the 90s (And Why)
Being hot is acting in a way that draws unwanted attention, or heat, your way. In the minds of a lot of people, a graffiti writer drawing this kind of unwanted attention would be counterproductive at the least, yet many of us did exactly this on a regular basis. But why? What compelled us to act in a very counterproductive, potentially harmful way that exposed us to a lot of danger? To me, while there might be multiple answers to this question, all of them are very logical, despite the phenomena itself being the opposite.
