Home of the University of Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens football team, Delaware Stadium is an 18,500-seat multi-purpose stadium located in Newark, Delaware. It opened in 1952 and is the state's largest stadium. The stadium is the second-largest in the Blue Hens conference, the Coastal Athletic Association (CAA). Renovations throughout the last decade resulted in a vastly improved football program and gameday experience including a new athletic training center, upgrades to the west (home) stand (including more chair-back seating), enhanced restrooms and concessions, a new video board, & a new press box.
