Our pre-wedding photoshoot in Xinjiang almost didn't make the cut... so we hopped back on a train to Ili and did the whole thing again! 🚆 This vlog follows our full trip: from the train ride from Urumqi to Ili, settling into our favourite little b&b, a late lunch of shou zhua fan (手抓饭), wandering through fading lavender fields, and our shoot day across multiple spots around Guozigou (果子沟) and Sayram Lake / Sai Li Mu Hu (赛里木湖) — capped off with beer and skewers because we could finally drink again 🍻 After some post-shoot regrets, our photography team kindly let us come back for a reshoot.
