BuildingNY: Norma Jean Darden-"Spoonbread & Strawberry Wine"

Norma Jean Darden, a successful model, playwright, restaurateur and caterer, is co- author with sister Carole of their special cookbook, "Spoonbread & Strawberry Wine" named for the first family recipes they collected. The book is full of wonderful recipes, family photos and most important, stories of their family's history. Papa Darden, born a slave, unable to read or write; Granddad Sampson, struggling to ensure his family's survival, to the present with children, grandchildren leading successful lives.
