Yarl’s Wood A Documentary Film by Lynne Parks Yarl’s Wood is a documentary about the experiences of women asylum seekers and immigrants, detained in the Yarl’s Wood Immigration Removal Centre in the United Kingdom. The facility is currently undergoing investigations into the wrongful deaths of inmates, multiple sexual assault accusations against guards and violating United Nation’s human rights laws. The story emerges through personal interviews with key players directly involved with the issue, united by a common concern for the refugees. As well as poignant reenactments of events inmates experienced in the facility. This documentary explores a deeply controversial chapter in British history, focusing on the changing perceptions toward immigration.
