Consolação/Camará/Berimbau/Salvador played by Doug de Vries Trio
Doug de Vries - Gtr, Frank di Sario - bass, Al Kerr- pandeiro DdV3 pay tribute to the legacy of Baden Powell de Aquino with this set of afro-sambas, beginning with 'Consolacao' then paying further homage to Raphael Rabello with his 'Camara', moving through 'Berimbau', Baden's signature riff in imitation of the capoeira instrument, and finishing up with 'Salvador' by another great player in his own right that was charmed by the music of Baden, Egberto Gismonti. A big thank you to Leo Dale who recorded and filmed our group with consummate ease and good taste. All came up a treat!
