I Nearly Turned This Honda CB750 Away...

This Honda CB750 K4 (US import) Over the last 7 years, it's been through multiple restorers, four engine rebuilds, and countless attempts to get it back on the road. Unfortunately, every visit seemed to introduce a new problem. By the time it arrived at RTR Motorcycles, the wiring had been hacked apart, the carburettors had been damaged, the airbox was leaking, and the front wheel hadn't even been fitted correctly. The original plan wasn't a full restoration. The owner's priority was simple: make the bike safe, reliable and enjoyable to ride for the rest of the summer, while staying within a sensible budget. In this video, I work through the bike from front to back, correcting years of poor workmanship, diagnosing faults, making it safe, and giving the owner the confidence to finally enjoy the motorcycle he's waited so long to ride. I'll be honest—I rarely take on projects that have been this heavily worked on by others. In fact, I told the owner from the start that if I couldn't fix it, I wouldn't charge him. My goal wasn't to perform miracles; it was to put a bit of faith back into motorcycle mechanics and get this CB750 over the finish line the best I could. If you enjoy honest workshop videos, classic Japanese motorcycles and seeing what really goes into recommissioning neglected machines, you're in the right place.
