Hujia Garden, situated in Ganzhou District of Zhangye City, is an urban park featuring a century-old pear orchard as its natural landscape and built with the concept of ancient tree protection in mind. During the Qing Dynasty, the Hu family ancestors migrated here from Shanxi and planted pear trees extensively. Through generations of cultivation, the pear orchard landscape we see today has been formed. Usually around mid-April each year, the pear blossoms bloom in profusion, resembling clouds and snow, filling the air with fragrance—the best time to appreciate the pear blossoms. Hujia Garden hosts a Pear Blossom Festival, featuring various performances including song and dance, waist drum performances, opera, and Hanfu (traditional Han clothing) experiences.
