My cover of "The Days When My Mother Was There" from Persona 5. Well I've been absent for this month and I place the blame solely on Persona 5. I couldn't stop playing it and just wanted to continue just to see what came next. I was connected to all the characters and story and the soundtrack; OH MY GOD THE SOUNDTRACK. It really lent itself to the style of the game and its themes, and the one theme that really stood out to me was the Futaba Palace theme. It had groove and emotion, and like all my videos, I try to tell a story through the music, so I imagined that as the song grows and gets more energetic, it's like how Futaba normally is and wants to be like all the time, happy and excited. But i wanted to have those moments where it feels really small and isolated, especially the ending when the other parts fade to just the clean guitar, to really symbolize the loneliness and isolation her palace shows. I got my bro Legendav to play bass on this as well, because we both geek out about Persona 5 and he's an excellent bass player, and I highly recommend you check his persona covers out, as well as his own cover of this song!
