Road to TT : à faire au moins une fois dans sa vie ! 🤩

For a number of reasons, I had never been to the Isle of Man during the Tourist Trophy. I had gone once, about ten years ago, for a Suzuki press launch, but not for the TT. Suffice it to say, a major event was missing. Then, during a conversation with Eric from SW-MOTECH, the idea emerged quite simply: to leave from my home, on a sportbike, bring two winners along for the ride, meet up with Pierre-Yves Bian there, and do things properly. A few phone calls later, BMW provided us with an M 1000 RR and a 330e Touring as support, Bridgestone joined the adventure with RS12s and then S23s, and the plan became considerably less practical. And therefore, much more interesting. On the agenda for this first installment: approximately 1,500 kilometers from Fréjus to reach the West Euro Bikes camp in Colby, a stop in Lyon at SW-MOTECH to pick up Jeanne on her S 1000 R, another in Paris at BMW, then Ouistreham, Clarisse on her CBR 600, Thierry on his S 1000 XR, the English Channel at night, England by day, Liverpool, Douglas… and that rather unique feeling of finally arriving where it all truly begins. Here you will find the condensed account of the trip. The next installment will be dedicated to the tour of the route with Pierre-Yves, and then to what we discovered on the island with the reactions of our winners. 👇 𝐕𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐥’𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐳 𝐝𝐞́𝐣𝐚̀ 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭, 𝐯𝐨𝐮𝐬, 𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐓 𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐨 ? Here, we talk about bikes with passion, unapologetic mischief, good humor, and a healthy dose of self-deprecation. Whether you're a track rider, a road rider, a stunt rider, a weekend trials enthusiast, or simply a lover of mechanics: sit back, we don't take ourselves too seriously… but we ride seriously. 🔥 Moto et Motards: motorcycles, passion, and craziness. Always unfiltered. 🔥 Why not join Touris Trophy in my footsteps on the French Riviera? Because the journey is part of the adventure. In this Road to TT, the idea was precisely not just to arrive on the Isle of Man, but to experience the entire journey: the milestones, the ferries, the stops, the team, and the gradual build-up of excitement. Why not take a virtual tour of the Isle of Man? Yes, but it's not necessarily the easiest way. On-site, access, private land, schedules, and good spots require real local knowledge. In the video, the support from West Euro Bikes appears to be a significant time-saver. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐞𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐮̂𝐭𝐞 𝐮𝐧 𝐬𝐞́𝐣𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐮 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐜 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 ? A week of testing can cost around €1,000 to €1,700, while a week of racing can approach €2,400. What factors or methods were used for this trip? Two Bridgestone tires were used: RS12s for the first part of the journey, then S23s for the remainder, mainly because rain seemed statistically quite likely on such a trip. #tourist trophy #swmotech #bmwmotorrad
