Homemade Coil Tester & Growler In today's video, we're going to make a homemade coil tester using a microwave transformer. We're going to cut it into the shape that best suits us and according to each person's needs. So, let's cut it. Once we've cut it to the desired shape, we assemble it and test it on the table. I don't like how it works; it makes a lot of noise and jumps incredibly fast. I discard it and start over with another transformer and cut it to our liking. We make a box for it to house a switch and a voltmeter. This second transformer feels good to me and works perfectly. Once everything is assembled in the box, we test it and it works very well, giving a value on the coils of 8.4V and 9.1V. Well, if you want one, I'll leave a diagram of the assembly in the video.
