As theatres begin making plans to reopen, the producers of the UK Tour of 'Priscilla: Queen of the Desert' recently announced the cast that would be reopening the show, after having held an open call earlier this year for Trans performers. The news was met with backlash as it was revealed the Trans female character, Bernadette, would still be portrayed by a cisgender male actor, though a trans woman would understudy the role.
