Lost in Love with You (Leon Ware) Bass Cover by Lars-Erik Dahle

Leon Ware's 1982 self-titled album was co-produced by Ware and legendary arranger Marty Paich. Paich brought in his son Marty and some of his best buddies to play on the album, including drummer Jeff Porcaro and percussionist Lenny Castro. Man, what a thrill to play on Jeff Porcaro's beat. I regret having been born about 20 years too late to ever get to play with him, but I'll take this. Nathan East was the bass player on the original session, he was a monster even then. He's since gone on to play with all kinds of superstars, including Phil Collins and Eric Clapton - and he did a tour with Toto a few years back. Recorded at my home studio, 1974 Fender Precision through my Avalon U5 into Logic.
