La HISTORIA de CHRISTIAN YAIPEN el HEREDERO del GRUPO 5

Christian Johan Yaipén Quesquén was born on January 19, 1994, in Miraflores, Lima. He is the son of the late singer and founder of Grupo 5, "The Pharaoh of Cumbia," Elmer Yaipén Uypán, and his wife, María Elena Quesquén. Christian is the youngest of six talented siblings who grew up to the rhythm of cumbia from a very young age. When Christian turned one, the family moved from Lima to Monsefu in Chiclayo, and a beautiful family history began. From his earliest years, little Christian accompanied his family to Grupo 5 performances and rehearsals held just above their house. From that time on, the little boy became familiar with the world of music. The unforgettable Elmer Yaipén taught his young son to sing and prepared him for singing competitions, which the little boy performed very well. The late patriarch of Grupo 5 had prepared the well-known song "Me duele el corazón" to record himself, but he had his little Christian learn it while rehearsing in his living room for a children's competition, which the Yaipén family member performed perfectly, winning first place. In April of that same year, the Yaipen brothers sang a beautiful birthday waltz for their father Elmer, which moved the entire family. In November 1999, when he was just 5 years old, an event occurred that changed the Yaipen family and Grupo 5. The late Faraón de la cumbia and father of 6 children was involved in a car accident that unfortunately proved fatal.
