There's no doubt that Chile has some great TV series, soap operas, and movies. There are truly excellent Chilean actors and actresses, and they produce some tremendous films, but unfortunately, the worst ones always get the spotlight in theaters: Nicolás López and Boris Quercia are directors who churn out bad movies one after another. The same thing happens with actors. There are actors like Alfredo Castro, Amparo Noguera (who was recently announced as the voice of a Star Wars character), Pedro Pascal (yes, the one from The Last of Us), and many others who are fantastic... while others aren't so great, especially in Chilean soap operas. Seriously, Mega, Canal 13, and TVN are full of these actors, who often act exactly the same. It seems like the characters in those Chilean series are always the same; they never change. Simón Pesutic, Gonzalo Valenzuela, Paz Bascuñán, among many others, add to this list of actors who always play the same role, every single time.
