Faux fresh Friday - homemade dyed /coloured UPJ (+work meeting update) 💕💕💕

I have two things to talk about today: 1/ This chalk. Wow. Caveat: this is for my extreme crunch and crisp lovers because I made these the extra firm OG texture of UPJ (as requested by a few people) and also I really wanted to. I just really needed to see those smooth insides. Faux fresh chalk indeed. I know the texture isn’t to everyone’s preference, which is fine, but I think we can call agree that the SOUNDS are off the charts mesmerizing…Ps, no my hands didn’t hurt, I know how maneuver firm crushes so don’t worry my lovelies AND I keep using these colours because my trusted Alice délice powdered dyes comes in limited colours 😅💕💕💕. 2/ The work meeting. Oh boy 🤦‍♀️. It could not have gone worse. The whole aim of the discussion was to try to renegotiate with me to stay on, even if on a part time /consulting basis. The discussion started reasonably and gradually went down hill to a point of no return. I ‘sort of’ managed to keep calm for the most part of the discussion but tensions arose when I tried to explain that the culture of the company towards life - work balance is immature and that they need to get with the programme. I finally lost it when they tried to say that I had taken too much time off in June (????) and in their opinion that was unacceptable. Mind you, in June, I took a couple of days off early in the month (Versailles trip) and got sick (with Covid) for about 10 days. Is this an actual joke? It was at that very moment that I knew with 100% certainty that there would be no way for me to continue with them in any capacity beyond my notice period. It was a clear and unequivocal sign that this was the end. Side note (to show how God works): later that evening I was browsing YouTube and came across a video explaining how it is important not to call out narcissists and how to protect yourself from narcissistic behaviors. We have an internal ‘suspicion’ at work that a certain key individual (the one I had the call with) who makes nearly all the key decisions is narcissistic and he very well portrayed this yesterday. The fact that this video came up at that time just hours after the call (and from a channel I had never visited) was nothing short of a miracle because it reminded me that I was fighting a losing battle.. I don’t know but I felt it was a message from above and I felt some peace while I listened to it. Back to the story: I ended the call with something to the effect ‘I find some of your positions unacceptable and to some extent, illegal. Unless you would like to discuss another topic, I would like to end this discussion please.’ I was proud of myself. I maintained my composure and professionalism even if behind my calm, there was a storm ready to ERUPT. On ending the call, I gave my hubby a prolonged hug while crying and he said some soothing words to me. My brother in law and sister also spoke to me and comforted me. I cherish my family so much 💕. In all this, the question that keeps ringing in my head is: How could I have worked with these people and stayed in this toxic culture for so long? WHAT WAS WRONG WITH ME?
