Ride Along With LSF's New Toy (23 Jun 2026)

This had to be the most bumpiest ride ever. So 4 days ago, I came to learn via Transee that LSF's has new additions. I didnt know who they were. The next day, I learned that this unit was on 72 holding position at SoMi waiting to go WB. what did I do? I went onto FDOT cams and looked for one showing Sunset Drive and found one facing NB 874. I posted this in a private Facebook group and got reports this was an International Durastar, a first in LSF's fleet. So now, here I was on EB Flagler after getting out of an Appt and decided to see if these things were running. Didnt see any on 72 but found on 56 so I decided to hop on SB 37 to Douglas with a brief stopover at Coconut Grove to pee at the Target. From there, it was SB to University and onboard this thing to 112 to later catch an SB 107 which happened to be around the corner. Also featured is UM's Hurry Cane Novas operated by Academy, Coral Gables Trolley, and LSF577 on 57 and LSF582 (Freightliner M2) on EB 56. I thought all were Durastars. 3 DAYS AFTER AIRING: I recieved additional information from ‪@MarcosAR‬ regarding this unit and likely the others and it turns out this is not an Ex-Tri Rail Unit but rather an Ex Springfield City Area Transit running as #5450 in Ohio. It was Withdrawn from use 29 Jun 2025 and auctioned off 6 Apr 2026. Okay, I did research on the origins of the Freightliner M2s (Lower 580s) and came to learn they are Ex. Greyhound auctioned off in late march (all of them). 2 Units of the durastar (this one and a 2020 is Ex. Springfield, Ohio) Exact model of unit: 2018 ENC IC bus PC505
