#indianculture#hindutemple#architectural#sculpture#carvingskills#thousandsyearsago#stunningarchitecture#shivmandir#kopeshwar Kopeshwar Mandir is located in khidrapur village which is situated at border of Maharashtra and Karnataka, approx 60 km far away from kolhapur, It is great example of Indian architecture and sculptural art, the entire temple is divided into 7 parts swargamandap,sabhamandap, anatral ,gabhara, Uttardwar, Dakshindwar and tarkamandal, the swarga mandap has big open top like moon, exterior of temple has stunning carving of deities and 92 elephant statue has sustain the weight of the temple at the base, we see first Dhopeshwar ( vishnupratima) and then kopeshwar (shivling) in the Mandir, but there is no Nandi who has always seen in the Shiv Mandir this is one of the special things in this temple second special thing of this temple is a open swargmandap of this temple which is situated on 48 pillars, Sabhamandap has 60 pillars , different different sculpture are carved on that pillars, this temple is a great example of Indian architecture and culture art कोपेश्वर हे मंदिर कोल्हापूर मधील खिद्रापूर या गावामध्ये वसलेले आहे, कोल्हापूर पासून सुमारे 60 किलोमीटर अंतरावर आहे, हे खिद्रापूरचे मंदिर म्हणजे शिल्पकला आणि वास्तुकला यांचा अनोखा संगम आहे, चालुक्यकालीन हे मंदिर सातव्या शतकामध्ये राजा पुलकेशिने बांधले होते, त्यानंतर राजा पल्लव बरोबर झालेल्या युद्धामध्ये राजा पुलकेशी चा मृत्यू झाला आणि या मंदिराचे बांधकाम बंद पडले त्यानंतर १२१४ मध्ये यादव राजा सिंघनदेव यांनी या मंदिराचा जीर्णोद्धार केला होता त्याबद्दलचा देवनागरी लिपीतील शिलालेख या मंदिराच्या बाहेरील बाजूस उपलब्ध आहे, या मंदिराची एकूण सात भागांमध्ये विभागणी करण्यात आली आहे , स्वर्गमंडप, सभामंडप , अंतराळ, गाभारा उत्तरद्वार ,दक्षिणद्वार आणि तारका मंडळ असे हे सात भाग आहेत, येथील स्वर्गमंडप म्हणजे या मंदिराचे वैशिष्ट्य आहे, हा स्वर्गमंडप साधारण 48 खांबांवर उभा आहे, सभामंडपामध्ये एकूण 60 थांब आहे, सभामंडप आणि गाभारा मधला जो भाग आहे त्याला अंतराळ असे म्हणतात, गाभाऱ्यामध्ये दोन लिंग आहेत गाभाऱ्यामध्ये पाऊल टाकताच आपल्याला प्रथम दर्शनी दिसते ती विष्णूची प्रतिमा म्हणजे धोपेश्वर, त्यानंतर दक्षिण मुखी दिसतो तो कोपेश्वर, अशाप्रकारे या मंदिरामध्ये दोन लिंग स्थापन केलेली आहेत, या मंदिराचे अजून एक वैशिष्ट्य म्हणजे या मंदिरामध्ये नंदी नाही आहे, यामागे एक दंतकथा आहे, मंदिर हे बाहेरच्या बाजूने ,९२ हत्तींच्या पाठीवर उभे आहे, मंदिराच्या बाहेरील बाजूस देवीदेवतांची शिल्पे कोरलेली आहेत, त्यामध्ये रामायणामधील काही प्रसंगही कोरलेले आहेत, इतर मंदिरांमध्ये जसे गोमूख असते तसे इथे नसून तिथे मगरमुख आहे, आणि अष्टकोनी तारकाकुंड आहे , हे मंदिर म्हणजे आपल्या भारतीय प्राचीन संस्कृतीचा एक अनमोल ठेवा आहे.
