Alan Wilson: Woodstock, the Environment, & the California Redwoods
Alan Wilson was a gifted musician, and rock legend of the late 1960's, having played at both the Monterey Pop Festival and Woodstock with his band Canned Heat. He sang their 2 biggest hits of the decade, "On the Road Again," and "Going up the Country," which became the "unofficial Woodstock anthem." Wilson is remembered as a pioneer of blues-rock during its crucial development period of the 1960s. Wilson was also a compassionate environmentalist and loved all trees and plants. He was highly dedicated to saving and protecting the redwoods of California, and in 1970 founded a conservation fund Music Mountain. You can help protect the redwoods by donating in memory of Alan to Save the Redwoods League here: https://secure.savetheredwoods.org/a/...
