A day before we left the area, we learned there were a number of award winning vineyards in the area. At one of the vineyards, we meet a couple who were staying at Byrds Branch Campground. Wanting to return to the area to visit the vineyards, we stayed at Byrds Branch Campground for a week. Our plans expanded to also take in a number of the hiking trails and enjoy the quaint community of Elkin, NC. We found the campground to be family friendly, reasonably priced and in a perfect location to enjoy all things Elkin, NC and Yadkin County.
