We bring you a report from the rehearsal press conference for the stage play "HiGH&LOW THE Sengoku Gaiden," held on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026! In addition to greetings from the lead actors, Hayato Onozuka, Hiroki Sasamori, and Sakina Ayakaze, we're releasing a portion of a scene showcasing the excitement of the actual performance! Enjoy a sneak peek at the breathtaking performance where unique characters sing, dance, and fight! ▼Released Scene ① Scene 2: "JABARA Baby" A number where the pirate family of Jabara sings about their family's way of life. The female pirate leader, Jabara Ayane (Sakina Ayakaze), her loyal follower Kaede Kiryu (Kento Yamada), and the party-loving Takushin Kazamidori (Takuji Kawakubo) deliver a rhythmic exchange. ② Scene 4: "Adabana Bayashi" A song sung by Tozawa Lemon (Doi Kate), the proprietress of a tavern in "Kasu no Sato," a village where those with nowhere else to go take refuge. The alluring "male courtesan" Kotobuki Momotayu (Ozawa Ryushin) dances gracefully with a group of courtesans. ③ Scene 7 A scene where Hachiya Fuma (Aoki Jin), the special attack squad leader of the Tento Sect, is helped by Chiai (Natsukawa Shiina), the poster girl of Kasu no Sato, when he had lost his will to live, before being recruited by the Tento Sect, and they connect on a deeper level. ④ Scene 10 A scene where Gamebo (Date Akira), who creates the secret elixir "Snake Incense," and Saraku (Ito Masayuki), the founder of the Tento Sect, try to decipher the mystery of the "Dragon's Eye" using the power of Murakumo Kikyo (Sato Hinata), whom they kidnapped using bandits. ⑤ Scene 1: "RAIDERS" This number marks the opening of the show. The leaders of three bandits—Hayato Murakumo (Hayato Onozuka), Sasaku Madarame (Hiroki Sasamori), and Ayane Shahara (Sakina Ayakaze), clash in a powerful song that expresses their way of life. The other cast members join in, creating a spectacular opening with acrobatic sword fighting set to a fierce beat. ▼Synopsis In ancient times, people worshipped and feared the dragon's power, which transcended human understanding, as that of a god. That power was sealed away along with the dragon, but it is said that the "Nine Treasures" lie dormant in this world. The time is the Sengoku period. Hayato Murakumo (Hayato Onozuka), once a notorious thief and now a member of the Suwa Volunteer Army, sets out on his thieving career again with his sister Kikyo (Hinata Sato) and partner Kai (Satoshi Uekiya) to steal the "Dragon's Eye." However, while infiltrating a location, he encounters Ayane Shahara (Sakina Ayakaze), the leader of the Shahara pirate family, Kaede Kiryu (Kento Yamada) of the Shahara family, and Sasaku Madarame (Hiroki Sasamori), the leader of the Madarame bandit group, leading to a three-way battle for the treasure. But then, Fuma Hachiya (Jin Aoki) and his group from the mysterious religious organization Tentokyo suddenly appear and steal the treasure. Hayato, Ayane, and their group encounter the alluring "male courtesan," Kotobuki Momotayu (Ryushin Ozawa), and others in the village of Kasu, which they visited to gather information.
