Living somewhere and feeling at home are two very different things. When you build a life abroad, it’s easy to carry around a sense of impermanence - sometimes for years - and struggle to shake it off. I finally managed to. 😊 And it turned out, I only needed a few simple elements - exactly the same in both countries: a cozy, personal space, a garden, and a forest. The dog is the same in both places. She is portable. So, let me take you for a moment to my little summer homestead in Poland. You’ll see me struggle with painting my cabin and then climbing in through the window (not too gracefully, I’ll admit, but I had a reason!). We’ll also wander through the beautiful Tuchola Forest area - its lakes, fields, and woodlands. The ripening grain swaying in the wind, the scents, sounds, and tastes of this place - they always bring me bliss. I grew up here, and the nostalgia they awaken is instant. I’ve paired the footage with relaxing, soothing music to make it even easier to unwind. I hope it helps you slow down, calm your senses, and remember your own beautiful moments. It’s always worth striving for what feels right for us. For everyone that may look a little different - and that’s perfectly fine. For me, homestead life is the dream.
