Honda VTEC-Powered Austin Allegro First Drive!
Episode 286 Welcome back to Retropower Uncut! Metalwork — let’s go! Nat’s on point this week, and he’s on hand to talk you through everything the ‘Metalwork Massive’ has achieved. First up: Project Munich, the BMW E9, a car Nat has spent a good portion of the week standing underneath, working out the best way to route and fit the exhaust system. Project Wasaabi is, as it has been for some time now, Bobby’s main focus; specifically the doors. He’s already made strong progress, but you can bet your bottom dollar next week will be even more transformative. Other highlights include the Project Altabani Fiat (with Matt on the doors and Scott tackling the front end) and Project Geneva, currently in the bodyshop having its carbon fibre bonnet carefully fettled. Over in Assembly, Cal brings you up to speed with progress on Project Stravaig, the Chevy Camaro, Project Rooster Jensen, and – excitingly – the Lucky Strike Allegro. The latter is up and running again and has been out on the roads of south Leicestershire during its shakedown phase. Lastly, we head to the CAD Den, which this week is a Luke-only affair. He’ll bring you up to speed on everything he’s been working on, not least some very cool, highly custom interior components for Project Churchill. **************************************************************************** Fancy joining the Retropower collective at Triumph UK for our big summer bash?
