DART Train along The Dublin Coast from Bray to Howth, Ireland 1984
On 23 July 1984 the Dublin Area Rapid Transit (DART) began running between Bray in North County Wicklow and Howth in North County Dublin. The Dublin Area Rapid Transit an electrified commuter rail network serving the coastline and City Centre of Dublin. In December 1984 the young people’s programme ‘Anything Goes’ took a trip along the DART route between Bray and Howth, showing the places and passengers along the way. The line has since been extended beyond Bray to Greystones. The film shown here was shot for an episode of ‘Anything Goes’ broadcast on 1 December 1984.
