Toyota's New Engine Technical review Part 1 : Cooling,Lubrication,Direct Injection and EGR

A Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician goes over Toyota's new engine technical review in simple and easy to understand terms. The new A25A-FKS and A25A-FXS engine from Toyota is widely popular engine in 2020 across multiple Toyota models both gasoline only and toyota hybrid models. This engine is a marvel of engineering with so many advancements in technology. It is possibly one of the most advanced and efficient Toyota engine ever made. In this series I will go over it's key features that makes it different than other engines. In this part of the series I will go over the following systems of the engine : 1- Cooling system : With an electric water pump this engine gets a rapid warm up thanks to it's priority cooling system using valves to direct coolant where needed. 2-Lubrication system : Variable pressure oil pump makes load on the engine low while optimizing pressure for continuous engine lubrication at all engine speeds. The use of 0W16 oil is a must in this engine. 3-Direct injection system D4S is a genius system using both Direct and Port injectors therefore resolving the issues with direct injection carbon build up common on direct injection only engines. 4-Exhaust Gas recirculation : The system is back on gasoline only models.
