Route 8 NB Car Fire (Shelton, CT) 3/8/23 SHELTON, CT - At approximately 12:45pm on March 8, 2023, the Shelton Fire Department was dispatched to Route 8 NB in the area of the 14 entrance ramp for a car on fire that was being transported by a flatbed. The fire was quickly knocked down, there were no reported injuries, and the highway was never required to be shut down for operations.
