■Story The lonely programmer, Mitsuru Tonuma (Shinji Kasahara), feels a strange affinity with a discarded tropical fish and begins to raise it, naming it "Haru." While taking care of it, Tonuma cuts his finger on the edge of the tank and discovers that Haru seems delighted by the blood. Tonuma then starts to cut his fingers to feed Haru his blood. This escalates to the point where he starts feeding live humans to Haru. As Haru (miko) incorporates parts of the humans fed to it, it grows beautifully in the tank. Over time, Tonuma develops a deep affection for Haru. Meanwhile, Kouga, who has been unable to detect the lurking horror, hesitates but eventually agrees to Zalba's suggestion to use Kaoru as bait. Kaoru is genuinely happy when Kouga asks her to paint, but her innocent smile is painful for him. Although Haru is defeated, in its dying moments, it reveals that Kaoru has been used as bait for horror hunting, causing her to collapse in despair upon learning this. She runs away in tears, while Kouga is left standing there, unable to move.
