ASUS Chromebook CM32 Detachable (CM3206) Initial Impressions

In this video I’ll unbox and give you my initial impressions of the 2026 ASUS Chromebook CM32 Detachable (CM3206). It's a 12.1 inch tablet that can be used in ChromeOS tablet mode, or attach the magnetic keyboard and it can be used as a more traditional laptop. This is a brand new Chromebook for 2026 announced at CES 2026 and featured at The Bett Show 2026 in London. It’s powered by the new MediaTek Kompanio 540 processor, also known as the MT8189. Most retail examples I expect will come with the magnetic stand cover, but as I explain in the video this particular example I’ve been sent has the rugged impact shield. Depending whether you have the optional stylus or not the case may also have an area to hold this, my case does not.
