Galeshwor Dham Beni Myagdi | Mustang Ride Ep.2 म्याग्दी जिल्लाको धनान गाउँमा प्रसिद्ध गलेश्वर महादेवको मन्दिर छ । कालीगण्डकी र रहुगंगा खोलाको संगमनजिकै पर्ने यस तीर्थको नाम जडेश्वर र जडभरेश्वर पनि हो । स्वस्थानीमा वर्णित कथा प्रसंग अनुसार, यसै स्थानमा सती देवीको गला पतन भएको थियो । यहाँ परापूर्वकालमा जडभरतले तपस्या गरेको मानिन्छ । तसर्थ जडभरतेश्वर र जडेश्वर नाम पर्न गएको जनविश्वास छ । यो महादेव मन्दिर शालिग्राम नदी कालीगण्डकीको किनारमा स्थापना भएको हुनाले धार्मिक रूपमा यसको महत्व ज्यादा रहेको हो । यस स्थानमा जड भरतले राजा रहुगणलाई ज्ञानोपदेश दिएको पनि जनविश्वास छ । गलेश्वर महादेवको स्थापना कहिले भयो भन्ने कुरा स्पष्ट छैन । तर पनि यहाँ वाणलिंग स्वयम् उत्पत्ति भएको को पूजा हुने गर्दछ । यसको पूजाआजाको व्यवस्थाका लागि वि.सं. १९५९ सालमा पृथ्वीवीरविक्रम शाहले गुठी राखिदिएको देखिन्छ । हालको मन्दिर वि.सं. २०२० सालमा बनेको हो । यो मन्दिर तले शैलीमा निर्मित छ । दुइटा छानाहरू छन् । मन्दिरभित्र गलेश्वर महादेवको प्राकृतिक शिवलिंगका साथै शालिग्रामहरू पनि राखिएका छन् । त्रिशूल, घण्ट र नन्दीका मूर्तिहरूले पनि मन्दिरको शोभा बढाइरहेका छन् । बालाचतुर्दशी, शिवरात्रि र साउन महिनामा गलेश्वर महादेवस्थानमा ठूलो मेला लाग्दछ । गलेश्वर महादेवका दर्शन गरेर मात्र मुक्तिनाथको दर्शन गर्नुपर्छ भन्ने मान्यता पनि रहेको पाइन्छ । Pulastya Pulhashram And Galeshwor Dham: This is such a holy place where the son of Brahma, Pulai Rishi in Satya Yuga; Ravana and Rajarshi Bharat, the son of Hrishavdeva in Treta Yuga had a penance amidst green forests, gardens, fresh wind pure water and wild roots and fruits. There is huge Shaligram at this place. It is believed that the spirits of the dead live in heaven for eternity if their descendents perform Shradda, death rite, at the place where the big sacred stone is situated. Even insects or lower species go to heaven if they die nearby or some miles away around the Shaligram. Galeshwor, described in religious scriptures as a holy place for the time immemorial, lies in Myagdi district, Dhaulagiri zone, the western region of the country. Galeshwor temple stands on the large Chakra-Sila Covering an area of 9 Ropani (4578.48 meter square) near to the holy confluence of Kali Gandaki and Rahu river is considered to be very important in the Religious, historical and mythological point of view. The main shrine is also known as second Pashupatinath. Why is it called Galeshwor dham? According to the Shrimad Bhagwat Purana, Balaram, elder brother of Lord Krishna and great sage Kapil muni has prayed and visited Jyotirlinghishwor Mahadev of Galeshwor. It is believed that it is the exact place where Galab rishi performed austerity of Shiva. It is believed that, when Lord Shiva is taking the dead body of Satidevi towards the Himalayas mountain alongside the banks of Krishna Gandaki, Satidevi’s throat (Gala in Nepali and Hindi language) collapses in this place, and later, Jyotirlingeswor Mahadev is derivated in the form of Shiva Shakti.
