Asi es EL TRANSPORTE PÚBLICO en NICARAGUA

Today we're going to talk about Managua's public transportation system. Nationally, this service serves the 12 largest municipalities in the country with a fleet of 1,320 buses that transport 1.1 million people daily. Ten years ago, the most common buses seen in Managua were yellow (formerly used school buses imported from the United States). Today, they are white buses manufactured in Russia or Mexico. The buses are identified by the numbers displayed on signs, such as Route 103, 107, and 112. At the bus stops, you'll find signs indicating which routes pass through. There isn't much information available about the routes they take, but you should always ask at the bus stop which route will take you to your destination. Once on the bus, ask the drivers where you need to get off to reach your final destination. Currently, the fare is 2.50 córdobas, which is less than 6 US cents. Previously, in 2013, electronic payment was introduced. It had advantages for some and disadvantages for others. The campaign's slogan was: "BENEFITS OF USING THE TUC CARD: Make your public transportation payments securely. And you didn't have to risk your money at the bus stop or on the bus." But for many, it was a headache because their balance would suddenly disappear, and there was no one to answer their questions. And if you didn't have a card, there were people at the bus stops with the infamous phrase, "I'll call you back." Now, let's continue learning more about public transportation. Once inside the bus, you can listen to good music, or get ready for the latest reggaeton hits blasting at full volume. During rush hour, I advise you to get on and look for the back door… because the driver always sees empty seats and wants to cram in more passengers than the bus can hold, and he starts saying… “Please move forward, it’s empty in the back.” Moreno moves forward, girl, look for the exit, and many times he even tries to get you off if you “cooperate.” Also, when you want to get off, he could take you to the next stop, but no matter how much you ask, he ignores you. Now you know that this service isn’t just for sitting down, and always during rush hour, keep your eyes peeled because sometimes pickpockets walk by. They take advantage of the crowds and, amidst the pushing and shoving and sudden stops, they pickpocket you, taking your cell phone or wallet. When the driver is racing against the clock, or on a route that competes with others, hold on tight because the competition begins, from cutting across the bus to speeding to pick up passengers at the next stop. Despite all this, the service is improving every day. Intercity transport has a new fleet, which benefits passengers. There's talk that the routes will soon be reorganized to allow for better service and quality. What do you think of this service? Don't forget to leave your comments, SUBSCRIBE!
