Kirby Vocal Cover | True Destroyer of Worlds / Astral Birth ~ Void / Void Termina (Medley)

Aka The Star Conquering Traveller aka The Planet Conquering Traveller aka case number who-knows-at-this-point of Kirby songs having either very long titles or multiple titles that combine to form a very long title. Well. This has been several years in the making. I first started working on these lyrics in 2022. Once I had them done, I started recording, but back then I wasn't the best at mixing. I'm still not lol. But this time, I have the context of several other vocal covers. "So I ask, you oh hero of dreamland" started with the CROWNED cover, which I wrote back in 2016 and then did revisions to over the years. I applied it Mind in a Program when I wrote it, applied it to this when I wrote it, and then revised my Moonstruck Blossom lyrics to include it as well. In other words, I've been PLANNING. There was a lot I wanted to capture here. For one thing, with the left and right channels, the concept I came up with when first writing lyrics was for the right-sided vocals to be the "shell". The dark lord. Void Termina, as Hyness wished for. But the left-sided vocals are the "core", the heart inside, the being that imitates the appearance of Kirby and dark matter. Then over the song, I wanted the main vocals to shift from being similar to the right side to similar to the left side. Which leaves us with the Astral Birth section. Core fully explored. There are still echoes of the shell, but they now serve as further support of the voice of the core. For another thing, there's a trait I wanted to give Void Termina here: Indecisive. Unstable. Its thoughts are constantly rotating. "This is possible - no, it isn't - is it?" It makes the "So I ask" phrase have a bit more meaning. They don't know themselves. So they turn to the only one they CAN turn to. The one they immitate. If they can't define themselves, perhaps Kirby can. And, with the hope that they may return as a friend, Void goes out smiling. We move on.
