The pinnacle of fighting games! The long-awaited Hollywood live-action film adaptation! The ultimate tournament to determine the world's No. 1 finally begins! A "real" battle awaits beyond destiny, with Ryu's Hadoken and Ken's Shoryuken exploding! The teaser trailer for 'Street Fighter: The Movie,' featuring a gathering of powerful fighters, has been released! Born in 1987 from arcade cabinets, 'Street Fighter' is a landmark fighting game that introduced Japanese game culture to the world. This series, which established the "fighting game" genre itself, continues to evolve even after more than 35 years, further strengthening its presence. The series has sold over 58 million copies worldwide (as of December 31, 2025). Supported across generations and borders, and continuing to influence all forms of entertainment, it is truly an iconic symbol of pop culture. A teaser trailer brimming with overwhelming energy, befitting the Hollywood live-action adaptation that the whole world has been waiting for, has just been released! The trailer opens with Ken (Noah Centineo), rising to stardom as a fighter and basking in the spotlight. It then shows Dhalsim (Vidyut Jhammoir) training on a cliffside beach, and Guile (Cody Rhodes) walking forward with a determined expression, foreshadowing the start of the story. As the scene shifts to the ring, commentator Don Sauvage (Andrew Schultz) shouts, "The world's greatest fighters have gathered!", and the sight of Ken defeating his opponent immediately draws the viewer in. Appearing before the triumphant Ken is Chun-Li (Karina Liang). Chun-Li delivers a scathing remark to Ken, telling him, "You're no longer a warrior. You're just a spectacle," urging him to participate in the tournament as a "chance to redeem himself" after he has lost his former passion. Furthermore, Chun-Li visits Ryu (Andrew Shoji), who is living in seclusion, and dismisses his refusal, saying, "The path I'm walking now isn't the path of battle." She then provokes him, saying, "Maybe it's Ken's turn to become champion," setting the wheels of fate in motion again. In the middle of the trailer, Ryu and Ken are shown facing each other in a quiet room. Ken, overwhelmed with emotion, attacks Ryu upon their reunion. However, Ryu easily deflects his attack, calmly telling him to "sit down." His words, "This tournament isn't just a competition," hint at a massive crisis lurking beneath the surface and reveal his resolve to throw himself back into battle. The video then plunges into a furious, adrenaline-pumping battle, with a plethora of special moves that will impress even the most die-hard "Street Fighter" fans exploding one after another with unprecedented realism and power. From Dhalsim's defiant grin and Guile's dazzling Somersault Kick to his clash with Balrog (Orville Peck), the action is breathtaking. Furthermore, Chun-Li unleashes a variety of leg techniques, and Zangief (Olivier Richters) slams Ken down with a spectacular Russian Suplex—a highlight of the video. Following Cammy's (Lyna Ballandingham) flashy bazooka attack, Edmond Honda (Hirooki Goto) emerges from the swirling dust. Then Ryu unleashes a sharp Tatsumaki Senpukyaku (Hurricane Kick). The scene culminates in a climactic moment as we see Akuma (Roman Reigns) shrouded in a jet-black aura, Ken's soul-stirring Shoryuken, and Blanka's (Jason Momoa) wild roar. In the finale, Ken shouts, "Now, Ryu!", and Ryu unleashes a powerful Hadoken! The overwhelming energy that fills the screen powerfully impresses upon viewers that this is a truly authentic and groundbreaking adaptation. Furthermore, the star-studded Japanese dubbing cast has now been revealed! Hiroki Takahashi as Ryu, Yuji Kishi as Ken, Fumiko Orikasa as Chun-Li, Hiroki Yasumoto as Guile, Miyuki Sawashiro as Cammy, and Satoshi Tsuruoka as Bison—the familiar cast from the "Street Fighter" game series—will be providing the Japanese dubbing, carrying on the spirit of the original while infusing it with a unique Japanese flair. Furthermore, Cho has been cast as Don Sauvage, bringing together a star-studded cast of voice actors active on the front lines of their respective fields. In addition, the Japanese dubbed version of the visual resembling the game's character selection screen, which garnered attention when the live-action cast was announced, has also been released! Anticipation is high for the Japanese dubbing casts of other characters, which are scheduled to be announced in the coming weeks. Street Fighter: The Movie will be released on October 16, 2026.
