Storytelling in sales allows you to close a deal without any pressure or coercion, as the client makes decisions based on specific factors or images they create in their minds. It's not for nothing that the Americans say, "Facts tell, but stories sell." The concept of storytelling in sales is quite simple. Simply take any feature of your product or service, add a factual argument, and some emotional imagery. Once the client has immersed themselves in this image, they should experience emotion. Storytelling = fact + image + emotion. The goals of storytelling are aligned with the stages of sales. Expert advice can serve as a rapport-building storytelling tool, allowing the client to see a highly qualified expert. Storytelling aimed at identifying needs. Telling how you spent hours corresponding and communicating with the client, and then asked them to send photos of the premises. After viewing the photos, you realized the project needed to be completely redesigned. Storytelling about value. The value of the product should be integrated into the presentation. Associative examples can be used here. Storytelling about problem solutions. For example: a client had a problem, they searched for a long time for a solution and couldn't find one. This problem worsened to the point that the client felt hopeless. Suddenly, a product or service appeared, and the client solved an unsolvable problem. Storytelling for objections. By telling a story, you overcome a common objection. Storytelling for closing a deal. A story about a certain client who thought long and hard, didn't buy the product or service on sale, then went home and wanted to buy it, came back to the store, and the discount was gone. Signs of quality storytelling A true story. The story must be real, not made up; you must believe it 100%. Otherwise, you will appear incongruent. Specifics. The story must answer questions such as who, where, when, and how; it must include specific dates, numbers, names, etc. Only then will the story meet emotional criteria. Customer Interests. Your focus must be directly on the client when presenting sales stories. These stories must be in the client's best interests. Brevity. It's important to keep your story short. Your story should be just a few sentences long and clearly achieve its goal. Emotional Engagement. Your sales story should contain emotional triggers that appeal to the customer's senses. Use phrases like "You'll feel it," "You'll hear it," "You'll smell it," and "You'll experience it." The most important criterion for storytelling is that the story should evoke emotion and a desire to share it with others. This is how the story will work. By telling this story to their friends, the customer will justify their purchase.
