Lee Allen - blind (trail) set traps

Lee Allen is a Senior Zoologist at the Robert Wicks Pest Animal Research Centre, Biosecurity Queensland. In this video, Lee explains and demonstrates how to set a blind (trail) trap for wild dog control in and around the Toowoomba region. Wild dogs prey on livestock such as sheep, cattle and goats, in some cases to such an extent that they can threaten the economic viability of properties. Wild dogs prey on a variety of animals including mammals, birds and reptiles of all sizes from insects to water buffalo. They have been implicated in the decline of several species, both historically and in the recent past. More information: http://www.feral.org.au/pestsmart/
